7th Cycle Regional Water Planning
(2031 Plan Development)
The Coastal Bend Regional Water Planning Group (Region N) has initiated the 7th Cycle of Regional Water Planning to develop the 2031 Coastal Bend Regional Water Plan pursuant to Texas Water Code §16.053 and 31 TAC Chapter 357. Region N covers 11 South Texas counties: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, and San Patricio.
Over this five-year cycle (2026–2031), the planning group evaluates long-term population growth, water demands, existing supplies, and potential water management strategies to ensure regional drought resiliency.
